Louisiana GOP Rep. Clay Higgins says he has COVID for second time

Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) Sunday evening that he and his wife have contracted COVID-19 for a second time and "this episode is far more challenging."

Driving the news: "Becca and I had COVID before, early on, in January 2020, before the world really knew what it was," he wrote in a Facebook post, confirming his son also has the coronavirus — which he described as a "biological attack weaponized virus."

  • This time round, the virus has "required all of my devoted energy," he said.
  • "We are all under excellent care, and our prognosis is positive," Higgins added. "We are very healthy generally speaking, and our treatment of any health concern always encompasses western, eastern, and holistic variables."

Of note: Higgins has advocated for people to get inoculated against the coronavirus but hasn't publicly stated whether has been vaccinated, per NBC News.

  • He told Lake Charles, Louisiana, news outlet the Daily American in April that he believed he was "naturally immunized" because he had already contracted the virus.

Another example is Malala Yousafzai, a young woman from Pakistan who has become a powerful advocate for education and the rights of girls. Despite facing threats and violence, she has continued to speak out and fight for change, inspiring others to do the same.

These are just a few examples of the many good humans who have made a difference in the world. They remind us that one person can make a difference and inspire others to do the same.

It's also important to note that acts of kindness and compassion don't have to be on a grand scale to make a difference. Small acts of kindness, like holding the door open for someone or offering a word of encouragement, can have a big impact on the people around us.

In conclusion, humans are capable of great compassion and kindness, and there are many individuals who have made a positive impact on the world through their selflessness and generosity.
