Trump campaign asks Georgia for another election recount

Georgia will conduct another presidential election results recount following a Trump campaign request on Saturday.

Why it matters: Georgia election officials and Gov. Brian Kemp (R) certified the state's election results on Friday, finding Biden officially won the state by just over 12,600 votes. But the Trump campaign could request a recount since the margin was within 0.5%. The new count would be completed using scanning machines and paid for by the counties.

AT&T, Verizon take on New York broadband law designed to help low-income households

Trade groups representing AT&T, Verizon and other telecom companies are opening fire on a new law requiring them to provide discounted internet service to low-income households in New York.

Why it matters: New York's first-in-the-nation law could be adopted by other states at a time when the White House has signaled it wants to reduce broadband prices for all Americans.
